Automatic self-steering system for yacht - has wind-vane and submerged blade fixed to common shaft and to rudder by frame

The yachts automatic steering system has a principal rudder (3) mounted on its stem (2). Attached to the rudder is a windvane (6) which controlsthe angle of a submerged blade (7). The hydrodynamic forces exerted on the blade (7) are used to control the movement of the principal rudder (3). The windvane (6) and the shaped submerged blade (7) are fixed on a common shaft (9). The shaft is mounted so as to rotate on a structure (11) fixed with respect to the principal rudder (3). The common shaft is fitted inside a hollow shaft (1) which is vertical and fixed by a frame to the principal rudder.
