In a coin collecting mechanism for a coin operated apparatus with an inclined coin storage duct for coins of uniform size a pivotable mounted collecting arm (5) serves as support for a coin (3) in the collecting mechanism. The arm (5) is controlled by a relay- actuated operating lever (7) which comprises a stop projection (10) on its end nearest to the coin duct, said projection (10) only allows the passage of a coin from the duct when the mechanism is in its non-actuated position and which lever at its other end has a pin (11) cooperating with a curved track (12) in the arm (5). Said curved track (12) comprises a first track portion (13) which is so arranged and positioned that the arm (5) is locked when the pin (11) is positioned in said first track portion (13). Thereby it is achieved that the actuating relay must act on the operating lever with only a small force in order to release the locking of the collecting arm, said arm then being pivoted downwardly for collection of the coin, the gravity of which contributes to the pivotal motion of the arm. <IMAGE> |
