PURPOSE:To increase adhesive strength and prolong life of an castable refractory by applying a specific adhesive material to the surface of brick, etc., containing graphite for lining of molten metal vessel and then repairing. CONSTITUTION:At least one or more kinds of a phosphate based aqueous solution, a sodium silicate based aqueous solution, a colloidal silica based aqueous solution, a calcium lactate based aqueous solution and a aluminum lactate based aqueous solution are mixed with 1-10wt.% pitch powder, 0.5-2wt.% B4C powder and 0.5-2wt.% SiC powder to provide a slurry-like adhesive material. Then the slurry adhesive material 7 is applied to a fused and damaged part of Al2O3-C brick 9 of a slag line part of a lining refractory 6 of a ladle 10 and then an Al2O3 spraying refractory 8 is sprayed thereto to carry out pretreatment for repair and application of the castable refractory. |
