PURPOSE:To make it possible to perform winding-up at a prescribed tension for a long period, by measuring previously as a pattern the mechanical loss corresponding to the rotational speed of a motor in a wind-up section, memorizing the pattern, and adding the current value of the mechanical loss to a set value of tension. CONSTITUTION:As a material 13 is wound up onto a wind-up section 1, the diameter of the winding changes. The change of the diameter is detected by a wind-up diameter detector 12, and a field current controller 10 is controlled via a wind-up diameter signal generator 11 so that the field current is increased for the decrease in the revolutional frequency of a direct current shunt motor 4 resulting from the increase in the winding diameter. The armature current of the motor 4 is controlled via a direct current power source generator 6 by an armature current controller 7 into which a tension setting signal of a tension setting apparatus 8 is inputted. Further, a compensation setting apparatus 9 is provided that contains a memory for memorizing a mechanical loss current pattern corresponding to the rotational speed of the motor 4, and the value of the output of the apparatus 9 plus the output of the setting apparatus 8 is applied to the controller 7. |
