PURPOSE:To obtain a small-sized differential converting circuit of simple circuit constitution, by using an ROM and delay circuits to perform differential conversion in the form of Gray codes as they are. CONSTITUTION:The ROM15 has address inputs A1-A6 for six bits and data outputs O1-O3 for three bits. Inputs x1-x3 of a Gray code are supplied to address inputs A2, A4, and A6 of the ROM15. The inputs x1-x3 are each delayed by one bit at delay circuits 8-6 and supplied to address inputs A1, A3, and A5 of the ROM15 and differential conversion results y1-y3 appear at outputs O1-O3. For this purpose, the Gray-code inputs x1-x3 and the outputs of the delay circuits 6-8 as information which is delayed by one bit are supplied to the address inputs A1-A6 to perform the differential conversion of data in a specified address in the ROM15. |
