PURPOSE:To permit an aslant advance correcting apparatus to be arranged even on a paper sheet passage having a large resistance by allowing a paper sheet to be nipped and transported by an elastic driving roller and a driving roller and to be pressed onto a side guide. CONSTITUTION:A paper sheet 3 is nipped by an elastic driving roller 6 inclined with respect to the direction of advance of the paper sheet and a driving roller 5 revolving in the direction of advance, and transported, and the aslantly advancing paper sheet 3 is corrected to be set in parallel to the direction of advance by pressing the paper sheet 3 onto a side guide 4. Therefore, the transporting force in the direction of transportation can be increased without reducing the pressing force onto the side guide 4 side, and an aslant advance correcting apparatus can be installed even onto a paper sheet passage having a large resistance.
