An air-cushion vehicle consists of a central wing-like carrying body (1), floats (5) and/or travelling gears arranged on both sides of the carrying body, a thrust generator (11) arranged in front of the carrying body, a guiding mechanism (14, 16) and a cab (17) for at least one person and, if necessary, for payloads, which cab is arranged on the top of the carrying body. In order to reinforce the air-cushion effect and to enable it to be effective even at low speeds, a front tip (6) which extends far forwards is connected in front of the carrying body (1) and forms an air-flow channel (7) directed under the carrying body, the thrust generator (11) being arranged under the front area of the front tip (6) in or directly in front of the air-flow channel (7). <IMAGE>
