<p>PURPOSE:To simplify the rental operation of an article, by providing a rental management memory for storing the rental information of the object and carry ing out presumed rental registration of the object upon elapse of predetermined extension time after renting of the object. CONSTITUTION:A rack 21 is provided with many shelves 22 for containing article, and a body controller 23 is arranged while adjoining thereto. A rental management memory comprises such number of tables as corresponding to the number of shelves 22 provided in the rack 21, where commodity information such as shelf number, commodity code, title and rental information are stored in each table. If a cassette 24 is taken out of the shelf 22 and not returned to the shelf 22 within predetermined extension time, e.g. 5 min., it is registered that the cassette is rented even if the cassette is not rented actually.</p> |
