PURPOSE:To contrive the enhancement of high-sensitiveness, writability with pencils, imprint fixation properties, adaptivity to writing with water-color ink pens and oil based ink pens, or the like, by sequentially providing a thermal recording layer comprising a color reaction agent capable of performing a color reaction upon making contact with a colorless or light colored basic dye, a specified intermediate layer and a specified overcoat layer, on a base. CONSTITUTION:An intermediate layer comprising one selected from the group consisting of a basic dye, a color reaction agent, a sensitizer, both a basic dye and a sensitizer, and both a color reaction agent and a sensitizer, and a binder as main constituents and an overcoat layer comprising a pigment having an oil absorption according to JIS K5101 of 80-400ml/100g and a binder, are sequentially provided on a thermal recording layer. It is particularly preferable that a color forming agent such as 4,4'- cyclohexylidenediphenol, which is used in the thermal recording layer, 4- hydroxydiphenylsulfone, 3,4-dihydroxydiphenylsulfone, 4-hydroxy-4'- methyldiphenylsulffone and 1,4-di [2-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-2propyl] benzene, and a sensitizer such as a benzylbiphenyl, a hydrogenated product thereof, phenyl 1-hydroxy-2- naphthoate, phenyl 2-hydroxy-3-naphthoate and 1-(2-phenylphenoxy)-2phenoxyethane are used, and materials to be added to the intermediate layer are selected from these compounds. |
