A sewage treatment apparatus comprises a container for holding sewage, a rotary biological film propagation bed including a rotary shaft (1), and discs attached to the shaft on which the biological film is formed. The disc consists of two semicircular plate inclined in a direction opposite to that of the other. The apparatus forms more thick biological film on the cylindrical rotary bed and treats sewage with higher efficiency.
