<p>PURPOSE:To attain the changeover of the communication system with simple constitution by identifying a group identifier and converting an address of a corresponding terminal equipment into an address of a broad zone packet conversion network when the identifier belongs to its own equipment. CONSTITUTION:Terminal equipments 3 are grouped into plural groups and a group identifier is provided to an address of each group equipment 3. A packet protocol converter 4 is provided with a group identifier detection section 9 identifying the group identifier and a DTE address conversion section 7 converting the address of the equipment 3 into an address for the connection to a broad zone packet network 1. The detection section 9 of the equipment 4 identifies the group identifier and if the group identifier belongs to itself, the conversion section 7 converts the address of the equipment 3 corresponding to the group identifier into a connection address to the packet network 1. Thus, the terminal equipment is connected to the packet protocol converter of the duplicate system constitution by changing the group identifier.</p> |
