PURPOSE:To reduce the size of a camera body and to eliminate interference with other members by storing the focus detecting device at the bottom part of the camera body, and reflecting luminous flux by a reflecting member at right angles to a photographic lens and guiding the luminous flux to the detecting device. CONSTITUTION:The object light which is passed through the photographic lens 1 is reflected by a mirror 11 to a focus plate 12 and the remainder is transmitted through the mirror 11 and reflected downward by a submirror 14. A lower block body 16 is provided with a field lens 161 and the reflected light is guided to concave mirror blocks 164 and 165 by a reflecting member 163 under the lens 161. In secondary image plane detection areas 9A and 9B corresponding to the concave mirrors 164 and 165, optical converting element arrays are arranged respectively and the relative position relation between a couple of secondary images is detected by the arrays to detect the focus adjustment state of the photographic lens 1. Consequently, the camera body can be reduced in size and interference with other members can be precluded. |
