PURPOSE:To easily produce a control program which treats a matrix variable of the variable element number with an interactive operation via a display device of a programming device by treating an input/output variable as a matrix. CONSTITUTION:If an input/output variable and the matrix element number corresponding to the input/output variable are inputted to an input device 4 in addition to an arithmetic type, an arithmetic unit 1 registers each matrix element into a memory 2 in response to the input/output variable. When the parameters corresponding to a parameter input area shown on a display device 3 are inputted to the device 4, these parameters are added into the arithmetic subjects and each matrix element is defined as an arithmetic subject for production of a control program. This program carries out a matrix arithmetic related to an input arithmetic type. Thus a control program which treats an input/ output variable of a matrix form is produced in an interactive form.
