<p>PURPOSE: To eliminate noise giving adverse effect onto image quality and sound quality by providing a rotary head drum having one or a plurality of stabilizers to a magnetic tape recording and/or reproducing device. CONSTITUTION: As to longitudinal vibration in the tape broadwise direction, a circumferential face of a stabilizer 7 acts as guiding the running of a tape T, especially a plurality of the stabilizers are arranged so as to be in contact with the tape T at a uniform width from upper and lower sides to act guides uniformly respectively thereby preventing the longitudinal vibration. As to lateral vibration in the tape broadwise direction, since the stabilizers 7 on both sides located at a constant start and end points on a circumferential faces 1a, 2a of rotary head drums 1, 2 by the tape T realize the momentary contact and departure of the tape T softly, the lateral vibration is considerably reduced. Thus, vibration in various directions is not almost caused and noise onto a recording or reproduction signal is remarkably reduced.</p> |
