PURPOSE:To improve the response of camera operation by cancelling automatically a response delay of camera control. CONSTITUTION:When the user uses an operation device 24 to input any camera operation, a system control circuit 42 outputs a relevant camera control signal to a camera control post-processing circuit 40 in response to an output from the operation device 24. The camera control post processing circuit 40 applies the control signal from the circuit 42 as it is to a camera control circuit 28, which controls a camera 10. After the end of the arrival of a camera control signal from the circuit 42, the circuit 40 applies a camera control signal having an opposite polarity to that of the former camera control signal and having a control variable to cancel an excess response to the camera control circuit 28. The circuit 40 also commands freezing of screen display to a video coding decoding circuit 44 during a period of excess response and cancelling control. |
