<p>PURPOSE:To provide a water-base printing ink compsn. suitable for printing a laminate sheet which is to be sterilized by boiling or retorting. CONSTITUTION:This compsn. suitable for printing a laminate sheet which is to be boiled or retorted is prepd. by compounding a binder comprising a neutralizable and water-base carboxylated resin selected from the group consisting of a (meth)acrylic copolymer resin, a polyester resin, and a polyurethane resin with a mono- or polycarbodiimide compd. The reduction in hydrophilicity due to the reaction of carbodiimide groups with hydrophilic carboxyl groups and the crosslinking formed by the polycarbodiimide compd., if used, between these resin molecules contribute to make the compsn. suitable for boiling or retorting.</p> |
