A vehicle for acrylic paint in aqueous emulsion, comprising: a) 96 to 99.9 % (calculated on the basis of the weight of the solids content) of an aqueous dispersion of acrylic latex, and b) 0.1 to 4 %, preferably 0.5 to 2 % (calculated on the basis of the weight of the solids content) of an aqueous emulsion of an aromatic epoxy resin by means of a nonionic surface-active agent. Use of the said vehicle for preparing single-component paints with improved wash-fastness and washability.
