A COMMUNICATION NETWORK, METHOD OF ESTABLISHING A CONNECTION, AND APPARATUS AND REGISTRATION PROCEDURE IN SUCH A NETWORK

The present invention relates to a mobile radio network which includes a number of mobile radio systems (S1-S3), each having a mobile radio services switching centre (MSC1-MSC3) which transits calls between a number of cordless subscribers (A), and a public switched telephone network (PSTN) which is common to the mobile radio systems which transit calls between wire-connected subscribers and also to the cordless subscribers via the mobile radio switching centres. If a cordless subscriber has roamed from its home system (S2) to a visitor system (S3), a call from a third system (S1) can be transferred generally over the home system and the public network to the subscriber (B). According to the invention, a service node is assigned to each of the mobile radio systems and each such node keeps an account of where the home subscribers of respective mobile radio systems are located and, in cooperation with other service nodes, can connect a call from a subscriber (A) in the third mobile radio system (S1) to the roaming subscriber (B) without needing to load the remaining systems. Corresponding connection procedures are described, as is also a subscriber telephone set and a method of registration in one such network.
