PURPOSE:To provide a talking device which can prevent the extreme deterioration of the talking quality despite the inferior state of a communication circuit. CONSTITUTION:A talking device includes a radio part 1 where the transmission/ reception data are modulated and demodulated, a channel CODEC 2 which performs the demultiplexing/multiplexing of the voice data as well as the CRC coding/decoding of signals, and a voice CODEC 3 which performs the aural coding/decoding of the voice data. Furthermore the talking device is provided with a circuit estimating means 4 which decides the circuit state and a mode switching means 5 which commands the switching an aural coding/decoding system based on the received data. The CODEC 3 can carry out plural coding/ decoding systems in response to the switching commands. When the circuit state is deteriorated, the means 4 decides this fact to communicates with the opposite party for the switching of the coding system. When the switching information is received from the opposite party, the CODEC 3 switches the coding system to a voice coding system that has the resistance to the deterioration of the circuit state with a command given from the means 5. |
