PRODUCTION OF ANISOTROPIC MAGNETIC POWDER AND ANISOTROPIC BOND PERMANENT MAGNET

摘要

PURPOSE:To produce an anisotropic magnetic powder of Sm2Co17 based alloy and to provide an anisotropic bond permanent magnet having higher performance. CONSTITUTION:The, Sm2Co17 based alloy is cooled and solidified while generating a specified tamp. gradient in it by utilizing e.g. the zone melting method, floating zone melting method or Bridgeman method at the time of casting it. The alloy thus treated has uniaxial magnetic anisotropy in the direction of the temp. gradient and is subjected to appropriate heat treatment and pulverized into a powder having 2 to 200mum particle size to produce the objective magnetic powder having magnetic anisotropy. The magnetic powder is oriented in a magnetic field and its particles are fixed and bonded together with a resin bond to manufacture the high performance anisotropic bond magnet.
