<p>Described is a running-wire cutting machine with a work table on which a workpiece can be clamped and cut and with at least two rotatably mounted pulleys round which a cutting wire passes. The pulleys are mounted, so that they can be translationally displaced, on two pillars extending essentially at right angles to the work table. In order to ensure a compact design for a cutting machine of this kind, the invention calls for the pillars (4) to be essentially L-shaped and for the essentially horizontal feet (5) of the pillars to be able to pivot about essentially vertical axes (16) and to be mounted so that they can be displaced by at least one drive unit and for the pulleys (11) to be able to rotate about spindles (9, 10) mounted in or on the pillars (4).</p> |
