ARAMID NONWOVEN FABRIC AND ITS PRODUCTION

PURPOSE:To obtain a tissue paper-like aramid textile fabric improved in flexibility, thermal dimensional stability and the puff in the thickness direction in its heat treatment. CONSTITUTION:This hot press-processed aramid textile fabric has the following characteristics: basis weight: 20-50g/m<2>; bulk density: 0.25-0.45cm<3>/g; flexibility determined by cantilever method: 10-60mm; thermal shrinkage after heat treatment at 350 deg.C for 10min: 1.0-6.0%; puff rate in the thickness direction after heat treatment at 350 deg.C for 10min: 60-150%; and the number of fluffs slipping off one or both sides: <=10 counts/10cm<2>.
