Central locking system for vehicle with remote operation - has coder and decoder operative at two ranges of frequency to cover radio transmission and light transmission

The system has a coder (5) in the ignition key and a transmitter (7a,7b) to transmit the modulated signal either in radio frequency or light frequency. Corresponding receivers (8a,8b) on the vehicle drive a decoder (6) which in turn controls a processor (9) to operate the central locking. The coding is digital and suitable for modulating either type of transmission. A coded array is transmitted a set number of times, with the detection system activated at the set count. A vehicle is fitted with common coders/decoders and selected transmission frequency. ADVANTAGE - Cost effective security system, universal system for selected transmission system.
