PURPOSE: To attain the diversified image modification effect by changing a deceasing direction of an image depending on a region on a screen in the image special effect device. CONSTITUTION: A received analog video signal is coded by an A/D converter 1 and the signal by one pattern is stored in an image memory 2 according to a write address outputted from a write address generator 3. On the other hand, a read address outputted from a read address generator 4 is multiplied with a coefficient by an address converter 5 in terms of X or Y addresses and used for a read address required to read image data from the image memory 2. The coded image data read out of image memory 2 are converted into analog video signals by a D/A converter 6, which provides an output of the signals. Through the simple circuit configuration as above, the X or Y components of an image are replaced in a diversified way and then various image modification effects are realized. |
