PURPOSE: To provide a high thermoelectric converting efficiency by fixing a thermoelectric element with an element support material having a linear expansion coefficient equal to the thermoelectric element to be used, coating the high temperature side of the thermoelectric element with a heat resisting coating material, and fixing a refractory material to the element support material with a heat resisting adhesive on the low temperature side. CONSTITUTION: A thermoelectric element 2 is fixed into a through-hole 8 provided in a refractory material 1 with an element support material 6. As the support material 6, for example, a silica alumina super-high temperature inorganic fiber heat insulating material excellent in low heat conductivity and thermal impact resistance is used. A heat resisting coating material 5, which is, for example, a heat resisting ceramic coating material mainly consisting of fire resisting ceramics and an inorganic polymer, coats the refractory material 1. The element 2 is fixed to the coating material 5 together with the support material 6, and a heat sink 3 fixed with a heat resisting adhesive 7 is bonded to the lower temperature side B of the element 2. The thermoelectromotive force generated from the element 2 is taken out from output terminals 4a, 4b. |
