A method is provided for use in the field of therapeutical chemistry and pharmaceutical technology in particular. Solid dispersions of medicinal agents in a hydrophilic carrier agent are provided, wherein the active principle is dissolved in a volatile organic solvent containing a highly hydrophilic cyclic amide, and the organic solution is sprayed and dried to give a coprecipitate that is crushed, screened and diluted with an excipient or a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier. The coprecipitate is useful as a starting material for preparing drugs.
