PURPOSE:To realize a lightweight and inexpensive cylindrical shell structure having high strength and reduced in the number of constitutional parts. CONSTITUTION:A sandwich cylindrical shell structure is formed from a core member 6 having a diamond shape buckling pattern formed to both surfaces thereof by applying pressure difference to the inner and outer surfaces of a thin cylindrical plate and the inner and outer surface plates 2, 3 provided to the inner and outer surfaces of the core member 1. By this constitution, the cylindricdal shell structure having lightweight properties, high rigidity and high strength, capable of holding heat insulating properties, reduced in the number of parts, easy to produce and capable of being reduced in production to a large extent is realized. |
