摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shape a boundary on co-altitude coordinate data in the form close to the true one by adding calculation made by the average of movement to data on the intensity of rainfall, and applying a smoothing effect. SOLUTION: This device 110 is provided at its CAPPI conversion unit with a smoothing processing unit 7, which is composed of the same altitude/azimuth/ direction movement average calculation unit (A). Data on the intensity of rainfall of which the altitudes made the same by a co-altitude conversion processing unit 4 is subjected to smooth processing. Then, in the unit (A), sampling is carried out by several points to the azimuth direction from the center of radar at the same altitude, and then averaging of movement performed. After the completion of smoothing precessing, orthogonal coordinate rainfall intensity data is generated by an orthogonal coordinate conversion processing unit 5. Accordingly a boundary on the co-altitude coordinate data is shaped to the form close to the real one, and an easy-to-see and accurate radar image is obtained.</p>
