The padding comprises of a base member (36) for arranging in the bottom side (30) of the briefcase (10). Two side padding members (38) are placed on side walls (18,20) and are both connected to the base padding member. The paddings are parallel and spaced apart, and together form a reception chamber for the briefcase. The side walls have bridging connectors for their releasable connection. The side walls are releasably connected with the base member.
