A communication device provided with a vibration generator having a magnetic circuit constituted of a permanent magnet and a coil and a diaphragm which is driven by the magnetic circuit and is so fixed to a fixing member as to mechanically resonate at a frequency f1, a signal generation circuit which generates a signal of the frequency f1, a filter to cut off the frequency f1, and a selection means, wherein the selection means functions to apply a signal including the frequency f1 which is generated by the signal generation circuit to the coil to notify the user of the reception of a telephone call and then applying a voice signal to the coil through the filter to let the user receive the telephone call.
