<p>The lock consists of a bolt with a cylindrical body (14) designed to click into place in a hole in a catch plate (18). It also has an anti-seize ring (76) surrounding the body of the lock which makes contact with the edge of the catch plate hole when the bolt is in place. The catch plate hole passes through both sides (36,38) of the plate, and the lock body has axial thrust members designed to interact with the upper face of the plate, and at least one locking ball (42) to interact with the plate's lower face when the bolt is in the locked position. The bolt incorporates a radial thrust member to deploy the locking balls when the bolt is inserted through the catch plate, and a spring-loaded sleeve which slides axially and covers the anti-seize ring when the lock is disengaged.</p> |
