An improved light-tight package for a roll (11) of light-sensitive strip material. The package comprises a substantially straight, light-tight end cover (35, 45) for each end surface (30, 40) of the roll, and a light-tight flexible circumferential cover (12) secured to the end covers and to the coiled strip material and covering the outermost convolution thereof. Each end cover comprises a flexible disc (31, 41) and a rigid disc (32, 42). The flexible discs (31, 41) are positioned between the end surfaces (30, 40) of the roll and the rigid discs (32, 42). <IMAGE>
