The control valve has a valve housing with a pressurized medium connection (12), a motor connection (14) and a venting connection. The motor connection can be connected via an inflow opening (16) to a feed connection and via an outflow opening to the venting connection. Two independent identical valve bodies (33,34) are spring-loaded towards each other in a closure direction in which they close the inflow or outflow opening. The valve bodies have a common actuating rod with end sections ending freely in compensation chambers subjected to the pressure in the motor connection via compensation channels. Each valve body is pressure compensated wrt. the pressure in its associated connections (12,14;14,16). The motor connection pressure acts on the ends of the actuating rod.
