The switch has a housing or cover frame, a base in which switch mechanism is arranged having a monostable switch rocker (16) that automatically returns to its initial position after operation. A hand-operated button (14) is provided to operate the rocker. A pull cord (18) is attached to the rocker for remotely operating it so that it moves from a rest position to a switching position when the cord is pulled.
