PURPOSE: A method is provided to inform a user of the information about the cooking with an oven or by broiling for a microwave oven without an additional display unit. CONSTITUTION: A gas oven is operated by; inputting a broil key through an input unit if a user wants to add the manual broil menu while cooking food with an oven by driving a first driving unit through a CPU; starting to broil food by inputting a start key after setting the broil time; driving a second driving unit to broil the food; and informing the user that food is cooked with the oven or by broiling at the same time by showing the information about the cooking with the oven or by broiling on a display unit. Therefore, the gas oven solves the problem in costs to add a display unit, by cooking food through two methods with a single display unit.
