<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a user to recognize whether or not the band needed for voice communication can be secured before voice communication starts by monitoring the packet flow rate of a line by a communication terminal equipment which is connected to Ethernet (R) capable of guaranteeing a band. SOLUTION: The packet flow rate of an Ethernet (R) line is monitored periodically and the remaining bandwidth of the total bandwidth of the Ethernet (R) line is calculated from the packet flow rate; and it is calculated how many bands needed for voice communication from the communication terminal equipment can be obtained in the remaining bandwidth and the number of the bands capable of voice communication is displayed to let the user recognize it.</p> |
