PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting system capable of efficiency utilizing ultraviolet rays, without deteriorating a resin substrate with a photocatalyst film. SOLUTION: Sunlight or the light from a high-pressure sodium lamp is irradiated to a road lighting system. Dust, carbon and oil mist and materials such as acetaldehyde, methyl mercaptan, hydrogen sulfide or ammonia, for example, are stuck to the outer face of a luminaire body 2 by the effect of dust or the exhaust gas of automobiles. When a photocatalyst film 16 on the outer face of the luminaire body 2 is irradiated by ultraviolet rays, the oxidation or decomposition of the materials stuck or kept in contact with the photocatalyst film 16 is promoted. The ultraviolet rays, transmitting the photocatalyst film 16, are reflected toward the photocatalyst film 16 by an ultraviolet ray reflecting film 15, and the ultraviolet rays can be used efficiently. The quantity of the ultraviolet rays radiated to the luminaire body 2 can be decreased, and the deterioration with respect to the luminaire body 2 by due to ultraviolet rays can be reduced. |
