PURPOSE:To enable stapling at the optimum stapling position by making the stapling position changeable by a sheet post-treatment apparatus corresponding to the form selected by a selection means selecting whether a manuscript is a vertical or lateral writing manuscript. CONSTITUTION:An automatic manuscript feed apparatus 300 placing the first page of a manuscript S on the single side of platen glass 101 and placing the second page thereof on the opposite side of the platen glass 101 and a sheet post-treatment apparatus 400 classifying, receiving and stapling the sheet materials discharged from an image forming apparatus 100 are provided. In the image forming apparatus, a selection means selects whether the manuscript is a vertical or lateral writing manuscript and a control means makes a stapling position changeable corresponding to the form selected by the selection means by the sheet post-treatment apparatus 40. As a result, stapling can be performed at the optimum stapling position corresponding to that the form of the manuscript is a vertical or lateral writing form. |
