FLUORESCENT LAMP LIGHTING DEVICE AND LUMINAIRE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluorescent lamp lighting device and a luminaire having a proper rising characteristic by such a simple circuit structure that components can be mounted, even in a position having a limited space. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a fluorescent lamp 8; a lighting circuit board formed integrally with the fluorescent lamp 8 for supplying high-frequency power to the fluorescent lamp 8; and a cover having the fluorescent lamp 8 mounted on its opening part and housing the lighting circuit board in its inside. The lighting circuit board is provided with a rectifying-smoothing circuit 3 for rectifying and smoothing an A.C. power source 1; an inverter circuit 4 for converting the output of the rectifying-smoothing circuit 3 into a high-frequency output; a driver circuit 5 for driving the inverter circuit 4; an inductor 6 for limiting the output current of the inverter circuit 4; and a current control means 21 for controlling the input current of the driver circuit 5.
