PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image transmitting apparatus and a method therefor in which an image transmitted from an image transmitter to other communication unit is left, while being demagnified, on the image transmitter side so that a user can grasp transmitted image information easily. SOLUTION: The image transmitting apparatus comprises a communication means (transmitting/receiving means 60) for transmitting a main image recorded on a recording medium 54 to other communication unit, and an information processing means 44 for erasing a transmitted image recorded on the recording medium 54 when the communication means completes transmission of a main image recorded on the recording medium 54 to other communication unit, and recording a demagnified main image on the recording medium 54 or leaving an already recorded demagnified main image. Consequently, a user can grasp the transmitted main image easily. |
