PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote control system in which a portable telephone set can be used as a remote controller for a plurality of different electric apparatuses in the house. SOLUTION: This remote control system is provided with a data center 6 having control code information of each device to be operated by remote control. The portable telephone set 1 is provided with a downloading means 2 for downloading the control code information through a communication network 5, a memory 3 for storing the downloaded control code information, and a control signal transmitting means 4 for transmitting the control code information toward a device to be operated. |
