PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a selfluminous pointer in which whole surface of an indicating part has metallic texture. SOLUTION: The present invention is a selfluminous pointer in which the indicating part of the pointer, which is provided on the front of a dial plate to visually indicate measuring values to an observer collaborating with a scale, numerals, letters, and symbols printed on the dial plate, is made to emit light by electrifying.A dielectric insulating layer 16, a phosphor luminous layer 17, and a metallic diffusion shell 18 formed to have the same shape as the indicating part are laminated in order on the surface of a metallic electrode 11 to form the indicating part. By electrifying to the metallic electrode 11 and the metallic diffusion shell 18 which are electrically connected to each other, light emitted by the phosphor luminous layer 17 is made to pass through the metallic diffusion shell 18 and emerge to the outside of the indicating part, thereby emitting light from the indicating part.
