PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a human body detector capable of changing or regulating a detection area variously using a common Doppler type sensor, and capable of carrying out an operation therefor simply. SOLUTION: This human body detector provided with the Doppler type sensor for emitting a transmission wave as a substantially elliptical cross-sectional shape of beam from an antenna 28, as a human body detecting sensor 26, is provided with a regulator 34 having an operation part 36 for rotation-operation the human body detecting sensor 26 to regulate a rotation angle of the substantially elliptical shape of beam, and transmission mechanisms 38, 40 for transmitting a motion of the operation part 36 to the human body detecting sensor 26, and for rotating it.
