PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fader device capable of easily minutely adjusting a control value as necessary without using an expensive operator element having stroke long enough. SOLUTION: Upon reception of a predetermined operation for the operator element, the device switches between a first control value setting method in which a control value assigned over the entire operation position of the operator element is set as a control value without any change, and a second control value setting method in which a setting value is set by a calculation using a difference value assigned over the entire operation position of the operator element. The device sets the control value in accordance with the control value setting method switched. While the first control value setting method requires a minute operation in minutely adjusting the control value, the second control value setting method requires only a minute adjustment of the control value because it can increase a set variable rate. In this way, a control value can be easily set in high resolution in accordance with the necessary of a user, even if the expensive operator element having a stroke long enough is not used.
