PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photographing apparatus capable of generating one item of image data from a plurality of items of image data even if a work memory has a small capacity, and provide a program thereof. SOLUTION: When still image photographing processing starts, an object is photographed and main photographing image data obtained by the photographing are stored in a buffer memory. Then, the image data of one part of the main photographing data are recorded in a memory card 13. Then, dark frame photographing is performed, and the dark photographing image data obtained by the photographing are stored in the buffer memory. Then, one item of photographing image data is generated by performing a processing of subtracting the dark photographing image data from the residual data of the main photographing image data stored in the buffer memory and the one part of image data of the main photographing image data stored in the memory card 13.
