PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotating shaft device wherein, when a rotating shaft is slid along its rotation axis, runout of the rotation axis is prevented or reduced. SOLUTION: The rotating shaft device comprises: the rotating shaft; a supporting means that supports the rotating shaft so that the rotating shaft can be freely rotated on a predetermined rotation axis; a foundation portion that supports the rotating shaft so that the rotating shaft can be freely slid in the direction of slide, that is, the direction along the rotation axis; a rotating means that rotates the rotating shaft on the rotation axis; and a driving means that slides the rotating shaft in the direction of slide.
