The skin has perforations (P1-P3) that are arranged in the form of an equilateral triangle without interrupting fibers (F1-F3) of respective plys (N1-N3). The plys are disposed such that the fibers are parallel to respective sides of the triangle. The perforations have a diameter of 1.55 millimeter, and the sides of the triangle have a length of 2.53 millimeter. The perforations occupy 30 to 40 percent of the skin. - Independent claims are also included for the following: - (A) an acoustic unit comprising a perforated skin - (B) a skin fabrication method.
