A plate that uses optical phenomena in passing of light, so as reflection, decomposition, semi-transparency through the decorated element, diffusion, etc. that are given by specific arrangement of the decor elements. One of the plate sides is provided with coloured decor with pattern for example lines, providing of the optical effect of light passing through slits. The other side of the plate is provided with a decor of pattern formed by a similar system of elements, which elements are formed by chemical erosion of the glass surface or by abrasive erosion of the glass surface and which elements are arranged so that they optically cooperate with the first plate side and colour according to this side. Thereby, the same visual perception is obtained both on the front side and on the underside. At the same time, this underside of the plate is able to be in contact with rollers of the heat providing equipment without any damage also at temperatures above 600°C.
