<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain always excellent image quality by preventing lowering of tension of a belt in passage of time to uniformly hold a surface speed of the belt and to suppress image inferiority such as color registration and image inclination accompanying lowering of the tension of the belt. <P>SOLUTION: When elongation occurs in the elastic transfer belt 46 due to long hour use, a correction roll 48 is moved in a direction of pushing the elastic transfer belt 46 to enhance the tension of the elastic transfer belt 46. Thereby the surface speed of the elastic transfer belt 46 can be uniformly held by returning an elongation rate of the elastic transfer belt 46 to an initial state. Thus, the occurrence of wrinkle of the elastic transfer belt 46 and color registration shift due to transfer inferiority can be prevented to always obtain excellent images. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
