An LCD is provided to improve the side visibility, realize good display of vertical lines, facilitate the application of voltage to respective sub-pixel electrodes, and improve the flexibility in an arrangement of an LCD display plate assembly. An LCD comprises a substrate and pixel electrodes(191R,191G,191B), wherein each of the pixel electrodes has first and second sub-pixel electrodes. The pixel electrode includes at least two first electrodes and at least one second electrode, wherein the two first electrodes adjoin each other up and down. Each of the first and second electrodes includes at least two parallelogram-shaped electrode elements with different inclination directions. The first sub-pixel electrode includes the first electrode, and the second sub-pixel electrode includes the first electrode and the second electrode. |
